Friends of South   Mountains State Park

IMPORTANT NOTICE

South Mountains State Park is currently under long-term closure

until further notice.  This includes all trails and facilities.  The Park sustained a lot of trail damage due to Hurricane Helene.  Please do not attempt to enter the Park, even on foot, as conditions are unsafe.

As soon as conditions permit reopening, the Friends group intends to schedule work days to assist Park staff in the clean-up.  This webpage

will be updated as soon as further information is available on reopening.
